Apprenticeship Student
Outcomes (APPSO) Survey
Since 2005, the Apprenticeship Student Outcomes (APPSO) Survey (formerly the Graduate Follow-up Survey of Apprenticeship Students from BC Public and Private Post-Secondary Institutions) has collected outcomes and evaluative information from former apprenticeship students who have completed the final year of their apprenticeship technical training. This information is used to improve the quality of training, to meet accountability requirements, to help with policy development, and to inform prospective students.
To provide insight into the apprenticeship experience, former students are asked to:
- rate aspects of their in-school and workplace training;
- evaluate the usefulness of the knowledge and skills they gained;
- quantify their level of satisfaction with their training; and
- describe their post-training employment and further education.
